Francesca Dani is a photographer and a visual storyteller based in Italy and focused mainly on night photography. "I spend many hours staring into space while my camera taking hundreds of photos. Sky is the most interesting subject and I'm a dreamer, I always look at the sky. I have to dream and reach for the stars, and if I miss a star then I grab a handful of clouds. If people sat outside and looked at the stars each night I bet they would live a lot differently.
My mission is to make you dream a little looking at the wonders of our beautiful world. I was born and raised in Florence but now I'm living in the tuscanian countryside far off from the city where the stars shines bright in the night. In my early 20's I worked as a model for about 13 years then in 2011 I left that business for some time of hiatus but I'm never came back. Since those days, I have been to various countries, travelling worldwide searching and finding my freedom and building a portfolio of travel images and focusing myself on nightsky photography. My approach to photography is to telling you a whole story just looking at a single photograph."
"When I look back over my life it's almost as if there was a plan laid out for me - from the little girl who was so passionate about animals, skies and mountains, who longed to go to see the world, to visit Africa, North Pole and South America and whose family couldn't afford to put her on a plane. I remember every night I was sleeping with the world globe beside me and before falling asleep I dreamt to visit all of these countries when I grow up. I really was in love for the world.
Everyone laughed at my dreams. I was supposed to be a secretary in some offices. Stand up for what you believe in even if it means standing alone. Find what makes you happy and go for it with all your heart."
